Mock Rock was originally created in 1999 as a tribute to Michigan wrestler Jeff Reese, who passed away while training for a meet. That year the proceeds from the event went to fund the Jeff Reese Endowed Scholarship. This year the Mock Rock beneficiary is the Charles Woodson Clinical Research Fund at Mott Children’s Hospital. We are thrilled to continue supporting the longstanding relationship between the University of Michigan Athletics Department and this incredible institution. Mott is Michigan's #1 childrens hospital. It is where the Leaders and Best come together with advanced technologies and breakthrough treatments that change lives. From leading-edge heart surgery that's performed in the womb to complete emergency care that's there when you need it, families from all over come to the U-M C.S. Mott Children's Hospital for our pediatric expertise.
