Marni Morse is a joint doctoral student in Public Policy and Sociology, specializing in the sociology of law, with a focus on gender law and policy. She is interested in how law and policy, or absence thereof, maintains heteronormativity and traditional gender norms. She is particularly interested in matters around care labor and family structure.Â
Marni brings her legal training to her graduate research. Marni received her law degree from Stanford Law School, where she participated in the Journal of Civil Rights and Civil Liberty, Domestic Violence Pro Bono Project, and Religious Liberty Clinic. During law school, she interned with both federal and state government. She has worked at policy think tanks, researching policies that support working mothers and families. Prior to law school, she studied political science and gender studies at Princeton University.
