Kevin Whitley

Welcome!

I am a PhD candidate in my fifth year in the Department of Astronomy & Astrophysics at the University of Michigan.

My research interests center around supermassive black holes (SMBH) and phenomena related to them. This ranges from relativistic AGN jets down to mergers of supermassive black holes. Currently, I work on numerical simulations of sub-parsec SMBH binaries to discern time-varying electromagnetic signals that can be used to identify these elusive systems.

If you're interested in talking to me about these or other topics, feel free to contact me at kwhitle@umich.edu!
