About Me

I am a PhD student at University of Michigan, in Industrial and Operations Engineering, advised by Dr. Siqian Shen. I am on the job market (expected graduation May 2023) and seeking teaching-oriented positions for the 2023-2024 school year.

Research

I am interested in applying optimization methods and data analytics to systems engineering problems with social impact. My research focus is on stochastic optimization, ensuring reliable and resilient solutions under conditions of uncertainty. The application areas that I examine include transportation, health care, and criminal justice. I have a Master's degree in Mathematics from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor degree in Sociology from Yale University.

Teaching

This fall, I am the lead instructor for IOE 201 - Economic Decision Making - and have acted as a Graduate Student Instructor for IOE 512 - Dynamic Programming. My teaching experience also includes work with high school and early college students from a variety of backgrounds, in one-on-one tutoring, a college preparatory program, and as a community college supplemental instructor, working with students on pre-college algebra, trigonometry, college algebra, and all levels of calculus.

In addition to my technical work, I enjoy playing rugby with Ypsilanti Rugby and spending time in nature.
