Flow Physics & Engineering Lab

The Flow Physics and Engineering Laboratory (FPEL) is a research group led by Prof. Yulin Pan in the Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at University of Michigan. Our research focuses on the development of a fundamental understanding of flow physics in the ocean environment through theoretical and computational approaches. We leverage our physical understanding and prediction capability to facilitate engineering applications in ocean forecasting, ship autonomy,  naval architecture and offshore construction.
