I am a PhD Candidate in the Industrial and Operations Engineering Department at the University of Michigan, with a focus on Supply Chain Logistics. I obtained a BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, where I am originally from.
My current research is focused on optimizing the outbound distribution logistics of the food supply chain, by using operations research tools such as mathematical programming and heuristic approximation models. My main goal within this field is to develop models that can be applied in the industry to increase the efficiency of the food supply chain and improve the overall decision-making process. Other key areas of research interest include inventory management and transportation.
