How can I gain access to see my student’s account information, balance information, get email reminders for when an upcoming bill is due?
Students can grant access to both academic and financial aspects of their account so you can see account balance information, get email reminders for when an upcoming bill is due, see grades, etc.
Visit billpay.umd.edu/parents
for instructions on how to set this access up
Students and authorized payers can view student account balances and invoices generated by visiting our website billpay.umd.edu
Select “Access Account” and log in with the student or authorized payer’s director ID and password
When is the first student bill due?
A student bill is generated with any new applicable charges on the 25th day of every month and is due on the 20th day of the following month
Fall and Spring Semester Tuition & Fees bills are due August 20th and January 20th respectively
What forms of payment does the University of Maryland Accept?
E-Check, Check, & Money Order
Credit Card; Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover (2.75% processing fee)

I noticed a charge on my student’s account for health insurance. What if they already have coverage
During the specified period, you may submit a waiver request proving outside coverage and have this charge removed. Visit https://health.umd.edu/insurance-billing
I’m seeing a credit or a negative balance on the student account. How can I get refunded?
Students should enroll in direct deposit to receive funds as quickly as possible

My student has received private scholarships. How do we apply this to their student bill?
Students can bring their scholarship check to the Lee Building so that it can be credited to their student account. They should make sure to include their UID # on the check. Private scholarship checks can also be mailed to the address below:
