Welcome to my webpage!

An aspiring geologist, I am broadly interested in Igneous and Metamorphic Petrology, Volcanology and convergent plate margins. However, with evolving research interests and a penchant for anything interdisciplinary, I am always looking for opportunities to explore allied research areas that may potentially excite me, such as Tectonics and Geodynamics. In the past, I have mostly worked on constraining the evolutionary history of metamorphic rocks by making use of phase equilibrium modeling and geothermobarometry (specifically two-feldspar thermometry). Now, turning my attention to the products of volcanism, I am looking at understanding the behavior of water in feldspars to see what they can tell us about the events leading up to an eruption. The investigation of water in nominally anhydrous minerals is also building up my interest in learning about the volatile budgets of different solar system bodies. In a nutshell, it seems that I am following the road along which feldspar and water are taking me!
