Overview: The compactification of moduli spaces of algebraic varieties is a cornerstone of modern algebraic geometry, bridging the study of classification problems with deep applications in birational geometry, arithmetic, and Hodge theory. The summer school is designed to introduce junior researchers and advanced students to both foundational techniques and recent advances in this field. This program features three foundational lectures alongside a series of research talks.
