  • Prompt for General (not Business) students : 

    • Please describe your past academic experiences and your reasons for wishing to enroll at UMD at this point in your academic career. Students who have been out of school for several years or who have a personal circumstance that affected performance, may wish to address that situation in their essay. Your essay should be no more than 300 words.

  • Prompts for Business students: 

    • Please describe your past academic experiences and your reasons for wishing to enroll at UMD at this point in your academic career. Students who have been out of school for several years or who have a personal circumstance that affected performance, may wish to address that situation in their essay. Your essay should be no more than 300 words.

    • Why are you passionate about business? What about the Smith School of Business community appeals to you? What are some things that you have learned on your academic journey? Why you would like to be a Smith School of Business student. Provide any additional information that you would like to share with the review committee.

• Resume for Business students (College > Uploads)

• Letters of Recommendation for Business students (Input their names & email addresses under College > Official Documents)

• English Language Proficiency

  • If English is NOT your primary language spoken at home, you will need to check if you are eligible for waiver (see this guide under that heading)
