mayfest 2023: Howard's beginning

The UMD Linguistics Department's annual 'Mayfest' workshop brings together researchers from a variety of perspectives to discuss fundamental issues in linguistics. This year's Mayfest is dedicated to Howard Lasnik, as he begins the next stage of his illustrious career: retirement! The program includes many of his former teachers, students, and collaborators, as we celebrate the many ways that Howard has contributed to the field - not just through his own work, but also as an insightful and inspiring mentor and instructor.

Mayfest will be held on May 5-6, 2023 on the College Park campus.

At the moment, this event is restricted to UMD affiliates and invited speakers. Register here.

For attendees visiting from out of town, parking and accommodation information can be found on the accommodation page.
