Jesse Hwang, Senior Manager of Cyber Technical, Capital One
Jesse Hwang is an experienced cybersecurity professional, working as a Senior Manager of Cyber Technical at Capital One. During his 20+ years’ cybersecurity experience, he has done extensive work in application security, cloud security, Web/API security, threat modeling, penetration testing, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS among others. He is a certified information systems security professional (CISSP), a certified ethical hacker, Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNP-Security), and Project Management Professional (PMP). He has been employed at Verizon and Harris.
Lahar Mishra, Technical Risk Management Analyst, Verizon Media
Lahar Mishra is an experienced professional, working as a Technical Risk Management Analyst at Verizon Media within the Governance Risk and Compliance domain. Lahar completed her MS in Information Systems from the Robert H. Smith School of Business and holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Prior to pursuing her Master’s, she worked with PwC as a Cybersecurity Consultant. Lahar has been featured by 1 Million Women In STEM as a potential woman role model working in STEM.
Lahar has extensive experience in Governance Risk and Compliance, third party risk management, IT auditing, data analytics, information and communication technology consulting and process improvement. As a data enthusiast, she enjoys taking a deep dive into data security as well as generating insights from data for improved business decision making. Lahar has also passed the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification exam and is soon to be a certified CISA professional.
Maggie Chinn, Senior Associate, KPMG LLP
Maggie Chinn is the UMD Campus Development Manager with a history of working in the public accounting industry. Maggie rejoined KPMG in August 2018 from EAB Global in Washington DC, where she served as a Senior Analyst in Financial Reporting for a year and a half. Prior to her time at EAB, Maggie worked at KPMG for nearly four years in the Commercial Audit practice in Tysons Corner, VA supporting clients across industries. Maggie is skilled in Microsoft excel, management, strategic planning, and auditing. She participated in KPMG’s Global Internship Program in the Summer of 2012 spending four weeks working for KPMG’s member firm in Auckland, New Zealand. Maggie is a CPA and has her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting from James Madison University in Virginia.
