For any 2Utes interested in learning more about 2U's educational products and resources.
Here's your opportunity to witness a 2U-powered classroom in action! Learn how our best-in-class faculty provide an engaging experience for our students. Upon completion of the Certificate program, you will be able to:
Support: Provide white-glove service to students and faculty during live 2U-powered class sessions.
Upskill: Understand our core platforms and how they are utilized (Zoom, Atrio, Digital Campus)
Observe: See the student and faculty experience during an actual class environment and learn how they run.
Network: Join a lively Google Chat filled with experts on all things digital education and andragogy, meet and collaborate with members of Faculty Success and other departments.
"If faculty win, then students win."
To ensure the best learning environment for our students, all new faculty members receive technical and moral support during their first two live sessions. The Faculty Success team is calling for YOUR help in assisting our faculty during the busiest term starts (January, May, and September). Not only will you contribute to the success of our faculty members, but you will also gain opportunities to network with other 2Utes, upskill your technical proficiency, and observe the culmination of your hard work in a real-time classroom. It's a win-win!
Expectations
2Utes will occasionally be asked to support live sessions during our busiest times of the year. We typically have overflow needs in 2-3 week intervals in January, April, May, August, September, & October. These live sessions are often held between 5 pm-10 pm ET Monday and Thursday. This is voluntary, but the program's goal is to provide opportunities for 2Utes to experience classes in programs they work closely with.
In order to participate in this training program and cover live sessions, a 2Ute’s manager must be aware and approve. Any overtime would be covered by the 2Utes department and not by Faculty Success.
If you have questions/concerns about this, please reach out to Rhonda Shields, Manager, Faculty Engagement, and Development, at rshield1@umbc.edu or Google Chat.
