Pierre Pestieau

Pierre Pestieau is professor emeritus at Université de Liège

He holds a Ph. D. from Yale University, 1972. He has been assistant professor from 1971 to 1976 at Cornell University and full professor at Université de Liège till 2008.

He is also member of CORE (Louvain-La-Neuve), associate member of PSE (Paris) and IZA, and CESifo fellow.

He has received the Francqui Prize in 1989. He has published a number of books on the welfare state, social security, the underground economy, public enterprise performanceand inheritance taxation.
