The Transformational Leadership Perception of School Principals on the Performance of State Primary School Teachers in Tomohon City

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between the perception of transformational leadership by principals on the performance of public elementary school teachers in the province of North Sulawesi. This research uses descriptive quantitative by looking at the correlation between the transformational leadership of the principal on the performance of elementary school teachers in Tomohon City. This study was designed with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study were teachers of Public Elementary Schools in Tomohon City, amounting to 135 respondents. The results of this study indicate that based on the results of the Pearson correlation test, it is found that the Pearson value of the correlation between the transformational leadership of the principal on the performance of elementary school teachers in Tomohon City is 0.283. This means that transformational leadership has a relationship and has an effect of 28.3% on the performance of State Elementary School teachers in Tomohon City. Meanwhile, the other 71.7% were influenced by other factors not examined in this study.
