Outcome Based Education (OBE) User Manual
by OBE Committee, School of Electrical Engineering
Preface
Outcome Based Education (OBE) is important to be implemented to reach the goals of the course and the programme. This OBE User Manual is prepared for School of Electrical Engineering, academic staff and stakeholders as guidelines to understand and practice OBE in the teaching and learning process. The handbook also serves as a guideline for the school to develop a constructive alignment and assessment plan in the process to measure the outcome of the students during their course of study and also after their graduation.
OBE Evaluation Tools (OBEET), Administration and Repository Intelligent System (ARIS) and Result Exam System (RES) are three main systems develop to assist academic staff in the OBE implementation process.
OBEET is exclusively developed to be a centralized repository to evaluate the Course and Programme Outcomes. This system allows easy compilation of OBE data across different levels of academic-record management and online generation of performance analysis.
ARIS is an integrated and intelligent system for managing processes and data in School of Electrical Engineering. Composed by 22 interrelated sub-systems or modules, ARIS connects all Units, Committees, Centre of Studies, students, staffs and School's management using a system equipped with user-friendly data entry process up to management level analysis.
RES is a UiTM platform developed for data entry of assessment and examination marks. RES will auto generate the grade and analysis of the student’s performance at the end of the semester.
We hope with this OBE User Manual will help all the academic staff and stakeholders to access the content anywhere, anytime and cultivate OBE in teaching and learning process.
