Lessons from March 23 - April 3, 2020

English & Reading I (45 Minutes Daily)


  • Keep a Daily Journal, writing at least 10 mins a day about your experience and reflections regarding your extended home/family activities.

  • Research family history/ancestry and track your family tree.

  • Write a letter to your favorite relative. Include questions you would ask them and why?

  • Watch at least one newscast daily, and keep a journal summarizing the information distributed and your reactions. Make sure to alternate the news stations you watch.

  • Visit Kelly Gallagher’s Article of the Week, choose an article to read each day and write a one page reflection outline for each article. (Parents may need to pre read articles for appropriateness beforehand.)

  • Read an article from Achieve 3000 (if you have an account) and discuss it with family members.

    • Write a brief summary of what was discussed and include your family members opinions.

  • Read a current event article from any news source and write a short summary.
