Modern geography takes an active part in the transformation of the environment, moving from the overwhelming ascertainment of facts and their interpretation to the engineering design of territorial natural-social-economic geosystems and the forecast of their changes under the influence of human activity. In its capacity as an organizer of the spatial life of society, geography becomes one of the most important areas of knowledge that synthesizes the achievements of many sciences about the Earth, life, and technology in order to preserve and improve the human environment.
Geographical ideas, methods and geographical information are becoming demanded by society not only for education, but also for constructive activities. Now, in the period of rapid integration trends in science, the territorial vision of phenomena, as part of the general spatial approach and as part of the general scientific picture of the world, is becoming a real basis for a new level of development of geographical thinking, as well as the emergence of new, regional branches of science and spheres of practical activity
Keywords: methods and technologies, geographical research, innovative space.
