Abstract:
The article examines the meaning of the concept of «research competence» and proves the importance of the formation of research competence in future specialists for the modern educational space. We describe research competence as an integral personal quality, which is expressed in the readiness and ability to independently master and obtain systems of new knowledge.
This happens as a result of the transfer of the semantic context from the functional activity to the transformative one, based on the available knowledge, abilities, skills and methods of activity. Research competence is considered a component of self-improvement competence. It is aimed at mastering the ways of intellectual and spiritual development of a person, as a structural component of cognitive competence, which includes elements of methodological, extracurricular, logical activity, ways of organizing goal setting, planning, analysis, and reflection.
The peculiarity of the research competence of specialists is that it is a component of professional competence, and is aimed, first of all, at the development of research skills and the realization of the creative potential of an individual. The main features of the formation of research competence among future specialists are considered. Interactive technologies play a significant role in increasing the level of student activity and forming the research competence of future specialists. Among them, the issue of group forms of educational activity occupies an important place, because they open opportunities for cooperation, relationships, and knowledge of the environment for individuals.
The formation of the research competence of future specialists, the development of their creative abilities through the use of optimal scientific-methodical and educational-didactic resources, in particular, the intensification of the educational process based on active learning methods, are among the main areas of research. We believe that the main trend that should be manifested in the teaching of disciplines in a higher education institution is the creation of appropriate pedagogical conditions for improving the quality of specialist training.
