Abstract:
The article discusses the content of primary education in art schools and, accordingly, provides a comparative characterization of existing piano training programs for junior schoolchildren, as well as reveals its potential in the development of all structural components of piano students’ musicality of primary school age.
The focus of our article is on institutions of primary art education, which currently exist in the form of art schools that work and carry out educational activities according to their own educational programs, including cross-cutting or typical educational programs.
On the basis of a comparative analysis of programs for piano teaching of students in art schools, we investigated the relationship between the content-structural characteristics of the musicality of junior schoolchildren and the content content of all program provisions of their piano teaching, based on the typical curriculum of a new model. We found reasons to claim that piano training in modern art schools is an effective means of developing the musicality of junior schoolchildren.
The relationship between the content-structural characteristics of the musicality of junior schoolchildren and the content of all the program provisions of their piano training, analyzed in this article, gives grounds for asserting that piano training in modern art schools is an effective means of developing students’ musicality in all its content-structural completeness.
Keywords: musicality, structure of musicality, junior schoolchildren, art schools, piano training, typical curriculum.
