Abstract:
This article explores the role of modern digital technologies in expanding the creative possibilities of the accompanist and elevating their artistry to a new level. The research analyzes key criteria for evaluating the professional mastery of a accompanist according to current legal and regulatory frameworks, including repertoire mastery, musical improvisation skills, sight-reading, establishing a creative connection with the soloist, selecting appropriate sonic, dynamic, and timbral solutions, understanding and recreating the stylistic features of composers from different eras, accompaniment by ear, proficiency in transposition, and other essential skills.
The study focuses on the capabilities of the Roland FP-10 digital piano as a tool that offers numerous advantages to the accompanist. Its ability to create an authentic sound for music from various periods thanks to its diverse range of timbres is examined, along with its precise tempo control via the built-in metronome and ease of use with vocalists due to its quick transpose function.
The importance of its compact size, portability, and headphone compatibility is emphasized, making the FP-10 an ideal instrument for home rehearsals and participation in off-site concerts. The application of the FP-10 at various stages of working on a musical piece, from shaping the musical image to refining the finest details of performance, is meticulously detailed. Additional benefits of the instrument, such as recording parts, using it as a MIDI keyboard for working with musical notation on a computer, and precise tuning of other instruments due to its stable sound frequency are also identified.
The article demonstrates that integrating modern musical information technologies into the accompanist’s practical work expands their performance capabilities, enriches their creative potential, opens up new avenues for musical interpretation, and promotes a deeper understanding of musical material. The findings of this study will serve as a foundation for further research into the application of musical information technologies in the practice of musicians and will stimulate further innovation in the field of music education and performance.
