USE OF MODERN ENGLISH TEACHING METHODS IN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS OF UKRAINE

Abstract:
The article examines the use of modern methods of teaching English in educational institutions of Ukraine. The most popular methods of learning English are revealed. The methods of learning English provide mastery of communicative competence under the condition of a personal-activity approach in the process of foreign language activity. Allows to fully reveal the personality of students. An advantage can be called a clear, consistent study of the language, starting with the grammatical basics, ending with the rules of using the language in everyday life.
The process of learning English makes it possible to form some universal linguistic concepts that function in native and foreign languages, thereby developing students’ intellectual, speech and cognitive abilities. Reading develops certain character traits in students, including attentiveness, industriousness, inquisitiveness, purposefulness, persistence, independence, perseverance, etc.
In order to achieve a high level of a foreign language, it is important for the teacher to know the latest teaching methods, special teaching techniques and methods in order to optimally choose one or another method according to the level of knowledge, needs, interests of the higher education institution, etc. Rational and motivated use of teaching methods in foreign language classes requires a creative approach on the part of the teacher.
Knowledge of different methods of learning the English language will help the teacher to better navigate the choice of teaching methods, to use them rationally in his activities, and not to follow the path of trial and error. Tested in practice and improved, consciously and creatively use the experience accumulated by many generations of teachers of foreign languages and scientifically substantiated in the works of domestic and foreign scientists.
