Abstract:
In the article, we analyze how modern composers use Ukrainian folk songs in the instrumental genre. Based on the stated topic, we deliberately focused our attention on the interpretation of works for guitar by two modern Ukrainian composers, V. G. Karlash and A. L. Boyko, who harmoniously used the themes of Ukrainian folk songs in their works, thus proving the possibility of introducing folklore music into instrumental works written for guitar.
Thus, the study of vocal-instrumental performance, as a synthesis of the types of creative activity of a teachermusician, today increases the need to foster national-patriotic feelings in young people through respect for the culture, customs, traditions of the native people, knowledge of the history of the native land, the study of Ukrainian folklore and inclusion in program requirements for processing Ukrainian folk songs and works of Ukrainian composers.
By introducing the works of Ukrainian composers into educational programs of processing Ukrainian folk music, we condition the development of national consciousness, a sense of emotional experience, historical comprehension and understanding of the past of our people, awareness of our involvement in this general historical process. Detailed analysis (form, texture of presentation, tempos, tonal plan, techniques of playing the guitar, fingering, strokes, dynamics) of works for guitar by modern Ukrainian composers: Fugue on the theme of the Ukrainian folk song «Evening Outside» by V. H. Karlash and Variations on the theme of the Ukrainian folk song «The Sun is Low» by A. L. Boyko, which can be used in the performing and pedagogical repertoire of a teacher-musician in the guitar class, is evidence of respect and respectful attitude to the origins of folk art.
Keywords: vocal-instrumental performance, creative activity, teacher-musician, works for the guitar.
