Abstract:
The article considers the possibilities of implementing academic integrity in the universities of the European Union. In order to find out the consistency of the policy of implementing academic integrity in higher education institutions and its effectiveness in the professional training of a competitive future specialist, a study of the academic behavior of an education seeker in the countries of the European Union was conducted. Studying the experience of developed countries, the factors of academic integrity that influence it are identified. Each factor includes a number of sub-factors (dimensions) that independently contribute to the academic integrity of students of higher education. Preventing academic dishonesty is often hampered by the lack of a centralized and formalized university policy on withdrawal, a reluctance by faculty to take formal action against dishonest students, and limited attention to the personal characteristics of students associated with withdrawal propensity.
In the countries of the European Union, the creation of commissions for the settlement of violations of the academic integrity of education seekers headed by the management of higher education institutions has been approved at the national level.
The possibilities of implementing academic integrity in the universities of the European Union are shown. The implementation of academic integrity in higher education institutions in Sweden is analyzed. The possibilities of academic integrity in French higher education institutions are shown. Specific trends in the implementation of academic integrity in institutions of higher education in Poland are revealed.
