Abstract:
The article deals with one of the urgent problems of professional training of future specialists in the agrarian profile – the formation of self-educational competence.
The purpose of the article is to investigate the scientific and theoretical aspects of the structure of the selfeducational competence of future specialists in the agrarian profile.
It is shown that the need for the formation of self-educational competence among future specialists in the agrarian profile is determined by new methods and approaches that are used today in agricultural production. The concept of «self-education» for future specialists in the agricultural profile is designed in such a way as to include the ability of an individual to analyze and objectively evaluate his own activity, which involves daily work with information, responding to changes in society and the economy, competition, public opinion and the acquisition of knowledge, skills and skills necessary for their effective use in further professional activities. Based on the analysis of different approaches to the definition of the concept of «self-educational competence» in the context of our research, this term is considered as an integrated socially significant quality of the individual, which combines theoretical and professional knowledge, skills and abilities in agriculture, readiness and ability for self-education, professional self-development for constant improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, to respond flexibly to changes in agricultural production, economy in general, society, to increase competitiveness.
A conclusion was made about the necessity of forming the self-educational competence of future agricultural specialists during their studies at higher educational institutions.
