Abstract:
The article develops and substantiates the pedagogical conditions for the formation of future officers’ managerial competence: future officers’ motivation for high-quality professional management activity based on the principles of morality and humanism; application of the coaching method to ensure the professional and personal development of the future officer, aimed at the formation and improvement of motivational, cognitive, functional, pedagogical and personal components of managerial competence; the use of simulation training methods that allow cadets to acquire effective knowledge, develop practical skills and abilities, and gain experience in performing managerial functions.
The methods of implementing the first pedagogical condition are: discussions, conversations, problem-based learning method, reflective exercises, essay writing, brainstorming. The application of these methods not only ensured the development of the motivational component of future officers’ management competence, but also contributed to the formation of theoretical management knowledge and information-analytical, social skills (communication and interaction), the ability to self-improvement (self-development skills), and the formation of needs for the development of personal professional - important qualities of an officer.
The implementation of the second pedagogical condition requires that cadets analyze their management training experience, evaluate their development in this direction, set significant goals for their future military career and make a plan to achieve them. The implementation of the third pedagogical condition involved the use of simulated non-game and game-based learning methods that allowed for the development of practical management knowledge, skills and abilities of future officers.
Simulation training of cadets took place from the simplest to the most complex: from theoretical analysis of specific situations, to actions in the process of role-playing games and actions in the conditions of simulations of a combat encounter and execution of military tasks. This approach made it possible to gradually immerse and understand the specifics of the officer’s managerial activities, and, accordingly, to gradually adapt and be practically able to fulfill the professional requirements of the modern security and defense forces of Ukraine.
Keywords: pedagogical conditions, managerial competence, future officers, motivation, coaching, simulation methods.
