Abstract:
The article deals with the organization of educational activities of primary school students on the principle of integrating the content of primary school subjects. The problem of integrating primary school students’ knowledge about the people and the world, about society and its life structure is presented. Attention is paid to integrative knowledge, which significantly expands the possibilities of free, creative development of the child, creates conditions for enriching the spiritual world, forming the ability to act in various situations.
The importance of integrated learning activities of primary school students for the formation of their comprehensive development is revealed. The methods and means that should be used in the process of teaching them through the use of interdisciplinary integration in primary school are outlined. The ideas and basic principles of integration of the content of primary school subjects are clarified. The main approaches to the implementation of integrated learning of primary school students are suggested. The important role of the child’s personality development in the acquisition of knowledge based on the principles of integration, the development of general erudition in various spheres of social knowledge, as well as the creative, high level of development of the categorical apparatus of thinking are revealed.
The main directions of knowledge integration in primary school are indicated: further specification of the purpose and content of work to ensure that students acquire integrated knowledge and form personal qualities on this basis, forming a worldview, etc. Further expansion and deepening of the possibilities of integrated influence on the personality of primary school students in such areas as improving relationships with the family; further search for ways to form humane relations between the subjects of the educational process; improving the relationship between lesson and extracurricular activities of primary schoolchildren; interaction between people and nature.
