Abstract:
The article considers the relevance of the problem of attracting teenagers and young people to sports. There are enough arguments to believe that the system of sports clubs can become an effective tool for solving this problem. The article examines the advantages and disadvantages of using sports clubs for the development of physical education and sports. The author offers a number of recommendations for improving the work of sports clubs with teenagers and young people.
The club system is the foundation of sports organization systems in all European countries, in the USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and other countries that are leaders in the development of a democratic society in the world. And there is a good reason for this. Democracy is about the freedom of people to decide for themselves how to govern and have the right to govern themselves, as opposed to a small group of people deciding how to govern everyone else.
Sports should be accessible to everyone, so that everyone can realize their dreams, whether it is communication, skating, a coaching career, or even an Olympic medal. A medal is not an end in itself, but a result of the popularity and mass of sports, a developed economy and the professionalism of the entire sports community. Clubs are voluntary associations of people for the sake of the development of sports and the involvement of broad segments of the population in sports and physical education.
Keywords: physical education, sports, sports clubs, teenagers, young people, involvement in sports.
