Abstract:
The article summarizes different views of scientists and own practical experience regarding the content of work in the piano class. The main types of activity of a pianist teacher have been determined, conditionally systematizing them in the following way: organizational and pedagogical activity; educational and methodical activity; research and concert performance.
Several stages of work in the instrumental class are considered, including the analytical activity of the performance class teacher and the very process of reproduction of the composer’s idea, which is usually considered in two aspects – individual (rehearsal work) and public (concert performance).
Seven professional functions of the teacher-instrumentalist are characterized – educational, developmental, educational, artistic-creative, scientific-methodical, as well as communicative and control-evaluative. Special attention is paid to the communicative function, which becomes relevant in the work of teachers of concertmaster and ensemble classes. Five levels of intra-ensemble interaction (spatial, temporal, executive, psychological and biological) are named and considered.
An important aspect of the teacher’s work in the piano class is revealed, which is the formation of the educational repertoire for each student, which takes place every semester and should be oriented towards the perspective of the student’s professional development. Recommendations are given regarding the selection of the repertoire.
Forms of working with students (individual, independent) and forms of working with educational material (perfect study of a musical work, sketching of musical material, reading from a letter) are defined.
The pedagogical principle of teaching is defined (established) as an individual approach, which allows the teacher to take into account the educational opportunities and individual psychological characteristics of the student, the level of his general musical and special piano training.
