Abstract:
The presented article examines the domestic education market, which is at the stage of formation and development, but has already made significant gains in the development of its own and development of world-famous educational technology startups. It has been proven that startups should become an important vector for the development of the educational industry in Ukraine. The authors believe that using the basic concepts of business startups, their ideas, the content and structure of the organization, scientists, educators and heads of educational institutions will be able to adapt this technology to the educational activities of domestic educational institutions at any level, taking into account the specifics of their work. It is this approach that will make it possible to realize the tasks of finding and implementing new approaches, methods and forms of work, general updating and increasing the efficiency of the education system in Ukraine.
Also, the need to determine the priority of the education sector at the state level is substantiated, which will allow attracting internal and external financial resources for the support and development of EdTech startups, creating favorable conditions for the economic, social, and intellectual growth of the country. A classification is proposed and characteristics of startups in education are given according to the level of their activity: institutions of general secondary education, institutions of higher education, startup schools. The characteristics of startups are given, the specifics of their action in various educational institutions in Ukraine are indicated.
The innovative segment, as an integral component of the educational process, is important in the renewal and intensification of the teaching of any academic discipline, realizes the professional growth of the teacher, promotes involvement in the global scientific community, introduces current knowledge in various fields, and ultimately creates prerequisites for integration into the European educational space, predicts an increase in the effectiveness of training.
The sphere of activity of startup schools all over the world is the attraction and selection of creative young people who want to engage in innovative entrepreneurship, from among inventors, scientists, graduate students, students, as well as business representatives. After selecting people who already meet certain requirements and have the appropriate qualities, startup schools instill in them the knowledge and skills necessary for innovative entrepreneurship; create motivation for the formation of their technological ideas, cultivation of business ideas; provide assistance in the development of independent projects and in the creation of prototypes of business products; find investors, business agents to invest in the most successful, promising projects (first and second round of investments); select the best startup projects with the participation of trainers, experts, funds, investors, business agents; participate in the organization and conduct of the competition of innovative business projects; help the authors of ideas in the so-called adjustment, correction of their startup projects for interested investors; participate in the opening and launch of start-up companies.
