Abstract:
The article examines the conditions for the formation of the academic discipline «Musical Regional Studies» at the Department of Music of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University and the conditions for improving the music educational and methodological foundations in the professional training of future musician-pedagogues. The inclusion of information and knowledge on musical regional studies, Ukrainian centrism of this discipline, and the dialogical study of the history of the musical culture of the native region in the professional trajectory model of future musician-pedagogues entails an extremely wide and deep scientific, methodological, and research interest for the establishment and improvement of professional performance, music educational, cultural, art historical, and ethnographic competencies of higher education seekers.
The regional study component contributes to obtaining broader and diverse knowledge related to the history of Ukrainian music and art, helps future professionals fully perceive their culture, artistic heritage, the creativity of outstanding musicians, poets, writers, theater figures, politicians, and public leaders of the region.
The analysis of educational programs for higher education seekers, the identification of music educational and methodological foundations in the teaching of theoretical and performance disciplines in the context of the formation of the «Musical Regional Studies» discipline at the Department of Music of Chernivtsi National University, the inclusion of the music-regional study component in the teacher training practice programs once again proves the necessity and relevance of this direction in music pedagogical research.
The identification and emphasis on the music-regional study competence of future professionals diversify and stimulate their creative and scientific research in the field of professional training. Among the teaching methods of the course are traditional and interactive forms of presenting educational material (lectures, seminars, independent work, individual research tasks), organization of music-regional study events, creative meetings with renowned artists and writers of the region, participation in the activities of the student research group «Music Regional Scholar», presentation of the elective discipline, visits to regional museums, organization of educational excursions related to the creative activities of artists and composers of the region, which facilitate the direct immersion of young people in the cultural space of their homeland.
Further study and popularization of the music culture and education of Bukovyna, the formation of a national-patriotic position, and the disclosure of the fullness of the content of interethnic cultural and artistic relations in the region contribute to the development of communicative-dialogical thinking and the development of a research position in future musician-pedagogues regarding the study of the problems of the musical-cultural and educational environment of the region.
Thus, the inclusion of the elective course «Musical Regional Studies» in the content of the professional training of future musician-pedagogues, music art teachers, and teachers of music theoretical and performance disciplines is relevant and necessary for the further professional development of future professionals in the music education field and the development of a national system of music education.
