Abstract:
In the article, the authors consider the theoretical and methodological aspects of the implementation of classical exercise in the process of teaching the discipline «Ukrainian folk dance».
Based on the analysis of scientific and pedagogical literature, the authors prove that at the current stage of the evolution of choreographic art, there is a tendency to significantly complicate the technique of stage folk dance.
This trend is due to the integration of classical dance performance techniques and the incorporation of elements from modern choreographic trends, which can be considered in the following aspects: accumulation of classical technique (folk dance increasingly uses elements of classical exercise, such as foot and arm positions, jumps, rotations, line and pose development, etc.); infusion of modern techniques (the influence of modern trends, in particular contemporary, jazz dance, modern is manifested in the use of parterre technique, improvisation and fluidity, work with weight and balance, polyrhythms and syncopation, etc.); synergistic effect (the combination of classical and modern techniques creates a synergistic effect, which leads to an increase in the technical level of performers, enrichment of artistic expressiveness, and the formation of a new stage product).
Exercises in the «Ukrainian Folk Dance» discipline include performing specialized exercises to warm up the leg muscles, and the basis of this complex is battement tendus, battement tendu pour le pied, and battement tendu jeté, which are performed in different positions and tempos. A gradual increase in the amplitude of movements and the tempo of execution allows you to smoothly prepare the muscles for more intense loads. An important component of the warm-up is the correct technique for performing exercises, which ensures the effectiveness of training and prevents injuries.
Systematic classical dance classes contribute not only to the formation, but also to the constant improvement of technical skills, which are the basis of professional skill. Classical choreography with its clear positions, lines, and requirements for performing movements creates a solid foundation for mastering various techniques and styles, including the complex and multifaceted language of Ukrainian folk dance. Thanks to classical training, the dancer receives the necessary tools for high-quality performance of jumps, turns, movements using elements of folk choreography, while maintaining lightness, grace and expressiveness.
The authors believe that classical dance is an integral part of the professional training of a Ukrainian folk dance dancer, providing him with the necessary basis for creative development and achieving a high level of performing skills.
