Abstract:
The article, drawing on the perspectives of domestic and foreign researchers, defines the structure of the theoretical model of economic competence for future technology teachers. The proposed model is developed in accordance with scientific principles and is based on key provisions of leading concepts in the field of psychological and pedagogical research. The developed model is regarded as an effective tool for organizing the process of forming economic competence in future technology teachers within higher education institutions.
The model’s creation is grounded in the concept of preparing a specialist as a personality at a specific stage of their life and professional development. This approach considers the future educator as a holistic, well-rounded individual capable of continuous improvement and adaptation to modern challenges. A key characteristic of this stage is not only the acquisition of theoretical knowledge and practical skills but also the development of economic thinking necessary for solving economic tasks in professional activities.
Particular attention is given to the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical skills, ensuring a harmonious connection between educational objectives and the real needs of pedagogical activities. This preparation includes fostering the ability of future technology teachers to analyze economic situations, make effective decisions, and adapt to the changing conditions of the professional environment.
The proposed model takes into account the main trends in the economic training of modern technology teachers. As a holistic system, the model has a structured framework where all components are interconnected.
The interrelation of system elements and the integrity of the process of forming economic competence in future technology teachers are achieved by relying on patterns, trends, and ideas aimed at ensuring the unity and completeness of the generalized components.
Based on the research, the author suggests that implementing the designed model in the training system for future technology teachers will contribute to the effective development of their economic competence.
