Abstract:
The article is devoted to problems in the development of music education and pedagogical analysis in Ukraine in the 21st century. Based on the example of Kyiv Children School №2 named after M. Verykivsky we have analized peculiarities of the specialized music institutions which is playing an important role in strengthening of the national focus on national music education. We consider the enlightenment activity of the Verykivsky school museum from the current point of view. The creative approach to work of the museum activates the life of the school as a whole.
But despite various oppressions, M. I. Verykivsky was an innovator in the system of searching for the latest musical thinking. All European culture was looking for new elements of modern musical language. The works of B. Yavorsky – an outstanding theorist and scientist of world scale, whose student was M. Verykivsky – had a huge influence on the formation of artistic and aesthetic creativity, performing, and composing culture. Mastering the theory of modal rhythm by B. Yavorsky is a rather important stage in the creative formation of M. Verykivsky, who tried not only to embody, but also to rethink in the line of national traditions the features of the new technology of organizing musical language.
Mykhailo Verykivsky dreamed of the people having their own culture. The processes of restructuring in modern schools, the establishment of a new humanistic paradigm of education lead to a strengthening of the culturological orientation, reorientation to the formation of a spiritual personality, its creative development. The implementation of the cultural-creative function of education involves the purposeful use of the achievements of national art in the education and upbringing of the younger generation.
