Abstract:
Today, one of the pressing problems of the ballet school is the preservation of historical conceptual features of performing technique. The article examines the trends in the formation of the ballet school of France in the 16th – 17th centuries, the cardinal aspects of the spectrum of the history of the development of choreography from court entertainment to high art. The contribution of Pierre Beauchamp, Jean Georges Noverre, Raoul Ogden Fellier, Gaetano Vestris,. The key stages of this transformation and the significance of the technical features of the dance vocabulary of the Old French period are identified.
Fellier and Beauchamp worked closely together, and their ideas laid the foundation for modern academic ballet. Thanks to the creative achievements and efforts of choreographers, French ballet became a systematized art form, and recorded dances became the basis for the further spread and development of choreographic performing culture in Europe. This system made it possible to record complex choreographic compositions, preserve them for future generations. Thus, thanks to this innovation, ballet art became more structured and accessible for study.
The Old French period of ballet development laid the foundation for the further formation of classical ballet in the 18th century. The system of training and technique developed at that time is still used in modern ballet schools. At the same time, ballet became a universal art form that went beyond the boundaries of court culture. Dance rose to the level of high art. Over time, a school was built that systematized movement, expressiveness and rhythm - elements inherent in aesthetic dance.
Keywords: choreographic art, classical dance, academic French ballet school, Old French stage.
