Abstract:
The article explores the possibilities of using information and communication technologies (ICT) in the career guidance work of future vocational education teachers. It outlines contemporary challenges related to the increasing demands for youth’s professional self-determination and the necessity of integrating these technologies into the education system.
The focus is placed on ICT as a crucial tool for enhancing the effectiveness of career guidance activities by ensuring accessibility, personalization, and interactivity in professional counseling. The study proves that the use of ICT contributes to a deeper understanding of modern labor market requirements, enabling students to make informed career choices and adapt to the changing economic landscape.
It has been determined that, in the context of education digitalization, career guidance activities are increasingly shifting to the online space. ICT opens up extensive opportunities for future vocational education teachers, allowing them to utilize various digital tools to support young people in making conscious career decisions. Through interactive platforms, specialized web resources, and artificial intelligence, educators can conduct diagnostic testing, organize virtual meetings with industry professionals, and provide access to up-to-date information on labor market trends and promising industry developments.
The article presents an overview of Ukrainian and international online platforms that can be effectively used for career guidance, along with practical recommendations for their integration into the educational process.
In addition to the advantages, the study also identifies key challenges associated with using ICT in career guidance, including the issue of digital inequality, the need for improved methodological support, and risks related to information security and personal data protection.
In conclusion, the article emphasizes that integrating information and communication technologies into the career guidance work of future vocational education teachers significantly increases its effectiveness. It fosters the development of independent career decision-making skills, prepares students for conscious career planning, and facilitates their adaptation to the demands of the modern labor market.
