Abstract:
Scientific analysis of the professional training of foreign language teachers in the EU and the USA is of particular interest in the context of studying foreign experience. Despite certain differences in the historical, social and cultural aspects of the EU, the USA and Ukraine, the functional commonality of national professional education systems allows for the creative use of the experience of training foreign language teachers in the USA and the EU, contributes to the improvement of the Ukrainian system of professional pedagogical education as a whole. The United States of America and the countries of the European Union have significant pedagogical achievements and a developed system of professional pedagogical education, some aspects of which can be adopted by the Ukrainian system of professional training of foreign language teachers.
Analysis of the special literature has shown that in the USA and the EU various models of professional training of pedagogical personnel have been created and continue to be created, the task of which is to improve the quality of teacher training, form in them the need for continuous education, master the necessary competencies and achieve high quality of educational activities.
The transformation of professional training of foreign language teachers is associated with the creation of a single educational space, which provides for the decentralization of the education system and the expansion of the independence of higher education institutions, which create their own curricula, have their own sources of funding, have the right to award academic degrees, etc. Ukraine is actively participating in European higher education and the experience of the European Union countries in professional training of foreign language teachers seems to be particularly valuable.
