Abstract:
The process of globalization of school education, unification of world pedagogical education and interstate teacher training programs directly affect the development of the system of professional training of teachers on a global scale. The article examines the trends in the professional training of English teachers, in particular, teachers of English as a foreign language, in the USA in the process of globalization of education. We have analyzed that in the process of globalization, secondary school plays an important role as the main formal agency of knowledge transfer. The inevitable transformation of consciousness as a result of globalization changes the content and form of education, therefore the school performs an extremely important function in this process.
National higher education systems have encountered a number of problems of both internal and external nature, including: mismatch of the level and quality of training with the rapidly changing requirements of the labor market; increasing international student mobility; increasing international attractiveness of national educational systems; increasing efficiency of spending on higher education in conditions of a lack of funds for its financing. An important place in the context of vocationally oriented reforms has been taken by the introduction of standards for professional education, activity and development. The processes of introducing standards in the professional education sector are at the stage of formation and have not been completed in any of the developed English-speaking countries, therefore the assessment of their impact on the effectiveness of the educational system is quite controversial and depends on the ideological positions of educational experts.
