LANGUAGE TEACHERS IN THE USA AND THE EU

Abstract:
The systems of professional training of English language teachers in the EU and the USA constitute an ordered number of elements that are in certain functional connections and relationships with each other, creating integrity and unity. The presence of a large number of elements, the contradictory nature of the interaction of individual elements, the presence of a complex management organization, the impact on the system of a significant number of internal and external factors are a characteristic feature of the system of continuous professional training of English language teachers in the USA and EU countries.
The organizational structure of the system of pedagogical education in the USA and the EU consists of interconnected objects and subjects of management aimed at implementing the main goal: high-quality professional training of English language teachers. The components of the system of pedagogical education include: entry into the profession; the process of pedagogical education; the results of learning experience.
An important direction in the development of the system of professional training of foreign language teachers by the departments of education of the USA and the EU is the quality of teacher training. The main principle of professional training of English teachers in the USA and the EU is continuous improvement of qualifications and competence.
We have defined the following as the goals of professional training of English teachers in the USA and the EU: improvement of pedagogical competence; combination of teaching practice and pedagogical theory; integration of pedagogical subjects and subjects of specialization.
