Abstract:
The article reveals essential aspects of musical hearing of students of arts faculties in the context of improving the professional training of future music teachers in terms of intensification of the development of musical and creative abilities. The author points to the leading role of musical hearing in the professional formation of the personality of a music teacher as an important factor in ensuring the effectiveness of all areas of professional education.
The analysis of musical abilities of an individual carried out in the article made it possible to outline their inextricable connection with the concept of «musical hearing», to determine the main varieties of musical hearing, as well as to assert the feasibility of a comprehensive study of its essence as an emotional-intellectual ability to perceive, retain in memory, imagine , distinguish, analyze and reproduce with the help of a voice or a musical instrument acoustic vibrations caused by sound sources. Characteristic features of musical hearing include emotional perception and discrimination of scale major-minor and functional coloring, means of musical expressiveness, as well as recognition of directions, changes and movements of pitch development in musical works.
Musical hearing makes possible: emotional perception and distinction of major-minor scale and functional coloring of melodic-intonational and interval-chord turns; emotional perception and distinction of tempo-rhythmic, textural, timbral, form-creating, dramatic and other means of musical expressiveness; free recognition, memorization and reproduction of directions, changes and movements of pitch development both «horizontally” in intonation-melodic dimensions and «vertically» in chord dimensions.
The formation and development of the musical ear of future music teachers takes place on a complex basis in the process of implementation during professional training of various types of musical activities, in particular, through the activation of conscious perception of works of musical art, implementation of instrumental, vocal and vocal-choral performance, purposeful execution of exercises and trainings for the development of musical abilities.
