Abstract:
The article examines the development of modern choreographic and pedagogical education in Ukraine. The peculiarities of the organization of teacher-choreographer training in institutions of higher pedagogical education, the state of development of its normative support, traditional and innovative forms of organization, and content directions are analyzed. Based on a retrospective and historicalpedagogical analysis, it was found that the institutional choreographic training of teachers was updated in the 90s of the 20th century in institutions of higher education of the humanitarian direction.
This process was caused by increasing the role of choreography in the system of general, extracurricular and primary art education, as well as the active introduction of the discipline «Choreography» into the content of school education. It is summarized that the modern choreographicpedagogical training of the applicants is complex, aimed at forming the competencies of a choreography teacher, head of a creative team, organizer of amateur choreography, methodologist of a choreographic genre, and a choreographer. It is noted that despite the obvious importance and perspective of the choreography teacher's profession in society, its development in today's conditions lacks tangible regulatory and legal support and is experiencing a controversial period.
Current trends in choreographic and pedagogical education in Ukraine are identified and a number of initiatives at the state, institutional, and personal-creative levels are proposed for the sustainable development of the field under study. It is predicted that the implementation of these measures will ensure the progressive progress of the professional training of choreography teachers in higher education institutions and will enable the processes of its modernization.
