The Interfaith Advisory Network consists of full-time and part-time staff members of organized faith-based groups registered with, recognized by, and in good standing with the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) in order to:
Support and enrich each member’s professional commitment and competence to campus ministry at UIC
Improve communication and foster respect, open dialogue, and mutual understanding among people of different faiths, cultures, race, sex, national origin, ancestry, age, and sexual orientation, including gender identity, as well as being a source of strength within the university during both times of calm and crisis in matters related to religion, human values, morality, and individual rights.
Serve as a resource to individuals and groups within the university
Chaplains offer spiritual, emotional, and religious support 24 hours per day, seven days per week to patients, families, and staff. Our clinically trained staff are members of the interdisciplinary team who provide comfort, encouragement, and support. They can help you find the spiritual strength you need to get through times when you may feel helpless, confused, or lonely.
