VISA: Students entering Korea to study need to obtain a Student Visa (D-2) from a Korean embassy/consulate in their country.
ALL international students are subject to a mandatory subscription to the National Health Insurance Service (NHIS), operated by the Korean government. The subscription is automatic. The NHIS will be active once the registration number is issued, and a bill will be sent to each student’s Korean address, which is one put when applying for RC.

Students with NHIS will have the same benefits as Korean nationals, including dental and oriental medical treatment, health checkups, etc
