Academische informatie

• Academische kalender (opgelet:  in Cali zijn het omgekeerde seizoenen en dus ook semesters!)

  • Fall Cali: medio januari - eind mei (UHasselt 2de semester)

  • Spring Cali: eind juli - eind november (UHasselt 1ste semester)

• Cursusaanbod:

  • You can find the Spanish course list on each program's website by clicking “plan de Estudios.” For example, the one for “Economics and international Business”. (Pregrado = undergradutate; Maestría = Master). 

  • Beperkt aanbod Engelstalige vakken (bachelor niveau)

  • All our courses are open to exchange students, even those offered by faculties different from the one the student is registered in. 

  • Students can mix courses from different programs. 

  • Isoft courses are taught in Spanish, but an important percentage of activities and materials are in English. 

  • ICESI does not work by academic year, so, in general terms, the academic offer is repeated semester by semester, both in January-May or July-November. 

• Taalvereisten:
  La mayor parte de las clases se imparten en español, por lo que debes contar con un nivel B1 de dominio de la lengua.

• Housing
  Universidad Icesi does not offer on-campus housing. However, the Directorate for International Relations helps incoming students to find a suitable place to live and recommends Inside-Boho as an alternative. The student must inform the mobility advisor of any decision regarding housing changes.
