Young Parent Education Program

The Guelph Young Parent Program is offered by College Heights Secondary School in collaboration with community organisations. Our program provides academic support for pregnant teens and teen parents. Students will not only earn credits towards their Ontario Secondary School Diploma, but also develop an understanding of a healthy family life, expand their parenting and life skills, strengthen their sense of self worth, and create a community of learning with other young parents.

YPEP is run out of the Shelldale Community Centre in Guelph, ON. The hours are Monday - Friday from 12:30-3:00.

The teacher is Diane Leach. Many other community members are involved in helping with YPEP as well including a CYC, a dietitian and a Public Health Nurse.

If you are a pregnant or parenting teen who is interested in completing your high school education through YPEP, contact College Heights Secondary School at (519) 821 - 4510.
