Mini-biography

PhD in computer science since 2009, I conducted my thesis work into an international unit: Ummisco (http://www.ummisco.ird.fr) that is specialized in modeling and simulation of complex dynamical systems and gathers scientists from different countries (France, Morocco, Senegal, Cameroun, Vietnam). In that environment, I first got interested in applied mathematical and classical methodology used so far to understand such systems. I then reviewed existing computer science formalisms before providing new tools and objects for modeling any system that integrates a large number of heterogeneous entities interacting in a spatial environment. Multi-agent systems (MAS), broadly used now in both academic and industrial contexts, allowed me to specify the conceptual framework for implementing and understanding diverse phenomena ranging from physical (convection-diffusion, erosion,…) to biological systems (cellular dynamics, aggregation and self-organization), including even social systems (disease spread). Recently, I got interested by machine learning and teledetection.
