Lessons for students are held during 4th period lunches. Any and all students in choir are welcome to sign up for a lesson time during their own lunch period. Students may sign up outside the choir room. Students are able to work on repertoire for the school musical, solo and ensemble, sectional work, church, or whatever they would like. Students should grab their lunch and head to the choir room for the lesson that they have signed up to have.

Students in Chamber Choir are required to take 4 lessons per term. This is a requirement of this advanced course. If this is an issue for Chamber Choir students, then Chamber Choir is not the right fit for you.

All lessons are worth 10 points, whether you are in Concert or Chamber Choir. You will never max out of earning points. The more lessons you take the more points go towards your overall grade. Students in Chamber Choir are required to achieve 40 points in lessons per term. Less than 40 points will negatively impact your grade. Signing up and having a conflict, forgetting, etc will result in a ‘o’ for that lesson.

Please make sure to leave one of the lunch periods free every day so Mr. Kroes can have lunch. Lessons are only open to students enrolled in a choral class unless they talk directly to Mr. Kroes.
