I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Computing at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), in Brazil, where I lead the Flexible and Sustainable Interaction Lab (LIFeS). I received my Ph. D. in Computer Science from the University of Campinas (BR), conducted research at the University of Reading (UK), and was a visiting scholar at George Mason University (USA). My actual research interests include emotion-aware systems, computing technology for mental health and well-being, and computational education.
For more details on my research, please visit the LIFeS lab webpage.
For recent publications, please visit journal papers and conference papers.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is academic supervision. Here are some people I have supervised.
