Matthew Dittrich
OVERVIEW
Matthew Dittrich is originally from Lawrenceville, Georgia. His interest in physics began in high school, where he was inspired by his AP Physics teacher, John Allan, a University of Florida graduate. This early exposure led him to study physics at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, where he balanced academics with military training and leadership development. In his free time, Matthew likes travelling and exploring new places with his wife.
Education
Master of Science, University of Florida, 2023
Bachelor of Science, The Citadel, 2021
Research Interests
Matthew is an experimental physicist and a member of the CMS collaboration at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland. His research focuses on studying WWZ production in high-energy particle collisions and developing software for efficient and effective data analysis for the CMS experiment.
