OVERVIEW
Bariana Bowman is a Ph.D. student in Physics, specializing in computational materials discovery and scientific software development. With a foundation in software engineering and prior industry experience at Apple and NextGen Federal Systems, she integrates strong programming skills with physical insight to create reusable, scalable tools for materials research. Her past projects span web analytics, geospatial data analysis, adaptive mesh refinement, and optics simulation. As a 2025–2026 MolSSI Software Fellow, she is developing open-source tools to advance transparency and reproducibility in computational materials science.
